Drumlines / Marching Percussion

Thumb RollIn the world of marching percussion, I am lucky to be an in demand performer and educator. I have studied extensively with legendary rudimental percussionists including Bill Bachman, Scott Johnson, and Jeff Moore. Touring experience includes trips to the UK, China, New Zealand, and around Australia as an instructor and performer including the 2015 European tour with the Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps and as lead snare for Australia in the 2008 Beijing Olympic Orchestra.

In 2010, I established the D²Drumline, a professional entertainment ensemble that has since performed at:

  • 2014 ICC Cricket World Cup, 2012 AFL Grand Final with The Temper Trap;
  • the Australian Ultimate Drummers Weekend incl. a collaboration with Dom Famularo;
  • 2011/12 New Years Eve Celebrations at Federation Square;
  • 2011 and 2012 St Kilda Festivals;
  • and countless other high profile performances for clients including Channel 10 News, Channel 7 Sunrise Show, Triple J, Triple M, and the Fox FM Fifi and Jules Show.

D² were also the official Drumline of the Melbourne Rebels Rugby team - performing on ground at AAMI Park for every home game of the fixture for 3 seasons and are the official drumline for Melbourne City Football Club for their 2015/16 season.

As an Drumline Instructor instructor, I have run workshops and masterclasses at the Victorian College of the Arts, Percussive Arts Society Day of Percussion in 2011 and 2012, the 2014 Victorian Percussion Teachers Conference as well as conducting regular school workshops and incursions around Melbourne.

I am proud to also be an artist and endorsee of Pearl Drums, Zildjian Cymbals, Promark sticks and Evans Drum Heads.

Drumlines and Marching percussion are my first love and my speciality - I feel incredibly lucky to have had such wide ranging experience and love passing on my knowledge to any who will listen!

Theatre, Musicals and Orchestral Percussion

  • Spamalot
  • Nunsense and Nunsense 2
  • Little Shop of Horrors
  • Parade
  • Bonnie and Clyde
  • Godspell
  • Avenue Q
  • and heaps more

I also regularly rehearse and perform with a number of orchestras around Melbourne including the Heidelberg Wind Ensemble and Pro Musica.
